General Manager Power Generation Division
Chris started his career at Western Branch Diesel, Inc. after his honorable discharge from the Navy in August 1988, working in the modifications department as an electrician building generator sets for Detroit Diesel Corporation’s worldwide distribution. In 1989 he was promoted to electrical foreman for the modifications division. In 1991 he was then promoted to engineering where he designed and engineered all factory packages for the Detroit Diesel product. In 1993 he and his family relocated to the Northern Virginia area to market and sell Detroit Diesel generator sets for the Western Branch Diesel. The region experienced significant growth as data centers were on the rise at that time. He assumed this responsibility until 1999 before being promoted to General Manager, Power Generation Division. He currently manages all generator sales personnel for the company in eight different branch locations. He has been with Western Branch Diesel, Inc. since 1988.
Chris is an active member since 1999 in Electrical Generation Systems Association (EGSA) which is the world’s largest trade association dedicated to on site electric power generation and he currently serves on the Codes & Standards Committee. Mr. Nowinowski is also an active member of the MTU/DD Power Generation Distributor Council and the Washington Building Congress.
