Off Hwy Sales Manager

Rick is a native of Richmond, Virginia where he attended Highland Springs High School and The University of Richmond. He was active in his father’s yacht business, Tidewater Yacht Agency, Inc. which expanded his knowledge of the marine market. In 1976 he operated a marine electronics and supply company in Richmond, staying very active in the boating community. In 1986 he returned to yacht sales, which lead to moving his family to Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1989 he became president of Marine Ventures Inc. a dealer for Tiara Yachts. In 1992 he joined forces with Virginia Boat and Yacht, a division of Western Branch Diesel, as Manager of Yacht Sales and Marina Operations. In the mid 90’s his focus changed to the diesel engine business, soon becoming Western Branch Diesel’s On Highway Marketing Manager, leading a team of sales personnel contacting truck fleets and truck dealers promoting Detroit Diesel and Allison Transmissions.

Today as Western Branch Diesel’s Off Highway Sales and Marketing Manager he focuses on the engine and transmission business in a variety of markets including marine, mining, rail, oil & gas, & C&I.

Rick has been married to the former Patricia Wiles for 33 years and has two children, Melissa and Paul, and one grandchild. With roots in the marine industry, Rick enjoys boating and fishing and still maintains his U.S.C.G. Master Captain’s License.
