Western Branch Diesel, Inc. is a distributor for Detroit Diesel Products. We offer the complete line of Detroit Diesel diesel engines from 22 to 10,000 horsepower for the on-highway,  off-road, power generation and the automotive markets and alternative fuel engines.  Detroit Diesel is the industry leader of electronically controlled engines, which were first introduced in the automotive market in 1985.

Since its introduction in 1985 many improvements have been made to the Detroit Diesel Electronic Controls (DDEC).  DDEC II, DDEC III and the DDEC IV all have improved sensors, monitoring and reliability,  which now control over 600,000 Detroit Diesel engines.

With the 600,000 Detroit Diesel units in operation today all around the world, there has never been a failure of the backup microprocessor in the ECM (Electronic Control Module).

Detroit Diesel Electronic Engines offer the EUI (electronic unit injector), engine sensors,
improved performance of horsepower of about 3%, reduced smoke during acceleration and cold starting. You  have improved engine synchronization with no power lag. You  receive diagnostics, maintenance, & engine protection with our electronic engines.

Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL) is a state of the art diagnostic tool technicians use to diagnose and correct diesel engine problems. DETROIT DIESEL SERIES 60 MARINE
From the success of the Detroit Diesel 60 Series On-Highway products the Detroit Diesel Series 60 Marine Engine was born and incorporates all the same design quality and all the latest technology. The Detroit Diesel Series 60 is receiving great reviews from customers and boat builders and soon will be released in a 14L 825 HP @ 2300 RPM Rating.

The Series 2000 and Series 4000 Detroit Diesel diesel engines are released in the construction, industrial, marine and power generating applications.

ALTERNATE FUELS TECHNOLOGY
Detroit Diesel manufactures the Series 50G both in Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) and/or Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel systems. The Series 50G is offered in urban bus applications at 275 HP @ 2100 RPM and 890 lb-ft torque at 1200 RPM. EPA and CARB standards are met with the Series 50G without the use of a catalytic converter.

A Detroit Diesel Series 60G is available at 330 HP @ 2100 RPM and in generator sets up to280 KW standby rating or 255 KW prime rating.
